Երևանի քաղաքապետի ընտրություններում Հայաստանի Եվրոպական կուսակցության թեկնածուն է Ռուբեն Հախվերդյանը: Այս մասին սեպտեմբերի 11-ին ֆեյսբուքյան գրառմամբ տեղեկացրեց ՀԵՎԿ-ի նախագահ Տիգրան Խզմալյանը՝ Հախվերդյանին ներկայացնելիս նշելով հետևյալը․

«Ազնիվ, անկեղծ, արդար։ Սովորական հանճար։ Իսկական երեւանցի։ Իսկական քաղաքացի։ Իսկական եվրոպացի։ Ազգի սերուցք»։

ԼՈՒՐԵՐ․com-ի հարցին, թե ուրիշ ինչո՞վ է պայմանավորված Հախվերդյանի ընտրությունը, Տիգրան Խզմալյանն ասաց․

«Ռուբեն Հախվերդյանի թեկնածության առաջադրումը ոչ թե քաղաքական, այլ քաղաքակրթական որոշում է։ Տեսնելով, թե ինչ թեկնածուներ են առաջադրվում Երևանի քաղաքապետի պաշտոնի համար, տեսնելով մարդկանց անլուրջ վերաբերմունքը քաղաքապետի կարևոր ինստիտուտի նկատմամբ, իսկույն վճռեցինք, որ մասնակցելու ենք գալիք ընտրություններին և մեր թեկնածուն Ռուբեն Հախվերդյանն է լինելու։ Ռուբենի հետ այդ մասին ամիսներ շարունակ զրուցել ենք։ Կարելի է ասել նրա մասնակցությամբ նպատակ ունենք փոխել հանրության վերաբերմունքը»։

Մեր զրուցակիցը նշեց, որ Հախվերդյանը ավելի շատ խորհրդանիշ է, քան քաղաքական ֆիգուր։ Հենց նրա միջոցով ու մեր թիմով մտադիր ենք շարունակել մեր որդեգրած քաղաքական կուրսը, այն է՝ «Հայաստանի եվրոպականացումը կամ եվրաինտեգրացումը»,- ընդգծեց Խզմալյանը։

Իսկ թե որքանո՞վ են մրցունակ Հայաստանի Եվրոպական կուսակցության նախանշած ու ներկայացվելիք ծրագրերը, քաղաքական գործիչը նշեց․

«Բավականին լուրջ ծրագրեր ունենք և ընտրողին ներկայանալու ենք մի շարք կենսական ոլորտներում բարեփոխումների ծանրակշիռ առաջարկություններով՝ էկոլոգիա, տրանսպորտ, քաղաքաշինություն և այլն։ Այդ ամենի մասին դեռ խոսելու, ներկայացնելու առիթ կլինի»։
