Նոյեմբերի 21-ին Ադրբեջանի պաշտպանության նախարարի առաջին տեղակալ-ԳՇ պետ, գեներալ-գնդապետ Քերիմ Վելիևը հանդիպել է Եվրոպայում ՆԱՏՕ-ի դաշնակից ուժերի գերագույն շտաբի պետի տեղակալ, կոնտր-ծովակալ Գյունշտեյն Բրուսդալի հետ, ով այցով գտնվում է այցով գտնվում է Ադրբեջանում «ՆԱՏՕ-ի օրերի» շրջանակներում։

Այս մասին հայտնում են Ադրբեջանի պաշտպանության նախարարությունից։

Ողջունելով հյուրին՝ գեներալ-գնդապետ Վելիևը նշել է Ադրբեջանի և ՆԱՏՕ-ի միջև հարաբերությունների զարգացումը, ինչպես նաև ադրբեջանական բանակի ներկայացուցիչների ակտիվ մասնակցությունը ՆԱՏՕ-ի տարբեր ծրագրերին։

Հանդիպմանը քննարկվել են Ադրբեջանի և ՆԱՏՕ-ի միջև համագործակցության զարգացման հեռանկարները, ինչպես նաև առկա և հնարավոր սպառնալիքներին դիմակայելու համատեղ գործունեության ոլորտները։

Գեներալ-գնդապետ Վելիևը բարձր է գնահատել Հյուսիսատլանտյան դաշինքի ներդրումը ՆԱՏՕ-ի օպերատիվ կարողությունների հայեցակարգի շրջանակներում ադրբեջանական ստորաբաժանումների պատրաստման գործում։

Շնորհակալություն հայտնելով ջերմ ընդունելության համար՝ կոնտրադմիրալ Բրուսդալն ընդգծել է, որ «Ադրբեջանը Հյուսիսատլանտյան դաշինքի հուսալի գործընկերն է, բարձր է գնահատել Ադրբեջանի  ակտիվ մասնակցությունը ահաբեկչության դեմ պայքարում, ադրբեջանական բանակի գործունեությունը ՆԱՏՕ-ի կենտրոնակայանում, ինչպես նաև պրոֆեսիոնալիզմը, որը դրսևորել են միջազգային խաղաղապահ առաքելություններում»։

Հանդիպմանը մտքերի հանգամանալից փոխանակում է տեղի ունեցել երկկողմ հետաքրքրություն ներկայացնող մի շարք այլ հարցերի շուրջ։
