Բնապահպանության ոլորտում նախաձեռնված ծրագրերը համակարգային են ու մասնագիտորեն հիմնավորված. համայնքը սկսել է քաղաքի կանաչ ֆոնդն առողջացնելու գործընթաց: Այս մասին նշվել է այսօր՝ մարտի 27-ին, քաղաքապետարանում կայացած խորհրդակցության ժամանակ:

Արդեն մի քանի օր է, ինչ մայրաքաղաքում մեկնարկել է կենսունակության ավարտին մոտ և կենսունակությունը կորցրած, դեֆորմացված ծառերի փոխարինումը՝ նոր, առավել արժեքավոր ու գեղատեսիլ ծառերով: Այս տարի ընդհանուր առմամբ կփոխարինվի շուրջ 2500 ծառ, որից ի դեպ, միայն 150-ն է սակուրա տեսակի: Քաղաքի կանաչ ֆոնդը կհամալրվի նաև մեծ սաղարթ և բնապահպանական կարևոր նշանակություն ունեցող մի շարք ծառատեսակներով: 

«Կասկադը Երևանի սիրտն է, և տարածքում իրականացվող կանաչապատման նախագծերը պետք է դրվեն հանրային քննարկման: Մենք, ըստ էության,  գալիք 50 –100 տարվա համար ենք նախանշում լուծումներ, թե ինչ տեսք է ունենալու Կասկադը, և այդ գործընթացում պետք է հաշվի առնել երևանցիների կարծիքը: Առաջիկա 7-8 տարվա ընթացքում քաղաքապետարանը նախատեսում է Երևանում մոտավորապես 200 հազար ծառ տնկել, սա նշանակում է, որ մենք անընդհատ չպետք է գնենք այդ ծառերը, մենք պետք է ունենանք տնկարաններ և պետք է ստանանք այն տեսակները, որոնք դառնալու են Երևանի կանաչ դեմքը, պետք է նաև հայեցակարգ առաջարկենք երևանցիներին»,- ընդգծել է փոխքաղաքապետ Ավինյանը:
