Հունիսի 1-ին Ն.Ս.Օ.Տ.Տ. Գարեգին Երկրորդ Ծայրագույն Պատրիարք և Ամենայն Հայոց Կաթողիկոսը Մայր Աթոռ Սուրբ Էջմիածնում ընդունեց Արգենտինայի խորհրդարանի Արգենտինա-Հայաստան բարեկամական խմբի նախագահ Գիժերմո Անդրադայի գլխավորած պատվիրակությանը՝ ուղեկցությամբ Հայաստան-Արգենտինա բարեկամական խմբի ղեկավար Իշխան Սաղաթելյանի:

Հանդիպմանը ներկա էին նաև ՀՀ-ում Արգենտինայի արտակարգ և լիազոր դեսպան Մարիանո Վերգարան և Արգենտինայում ՀՀ արտակարգ և լիազոր դեսպան Հովհաննես Վիրաբյանը։

Ամենայն Հայոց Կաթողիկոսը, անդրադառնալով երկու երկների հարաբերություններին, ընդգծեց, որ դրանք հատկանշված են սերտ բարեկամությամբ և Արգենտինան դժվարին իրավիճակներում, հատկապես արցախյան 44-օրյա պատերազմի ընթացքում մշտապես զորակից է եղել հայ ժողովրդին։ Այս առնչությամբ Վեհափառ Հայրապետը գնահատանքով անդրադարձավ Արգենտինայի Սենատի կողմից Լաչինի միջանցքի արգելափակումը դատապարտող և դադարեցնելու կոչ անող հայտարարությանը։

Հանդիպմանը Նորին Սրբությունն անդրադարձ կատարեց տարածաշրջանում առկա մարտահրավերներին, Հայաստանի սահմանների նկատմամբ ոտնձգություններին, Արցախում ստեղծված հումանիտար ճգնաժամին, մինչև օրս գերության մեջ պահվող հայորդիներին, ինչպես նաև Ադրբեջանի վերահսկողության տակ հայտնված տարածքներում հայկական հոգևոր, մշակութային ժառանգության պահպանման խնդիրներին։

Ամենայն Հայոց Հայրապետը ողջունեց բարեկամ երկրների, խորհրդարանական և պետական գործիչների ու անհատների ջանքերն ուղղված միջազգային ատյաններում արցախահայության ազատ և անկախ ապրելու արդար իրավունքի պաշտպանությանը՝ վստահություն հայտնելով, որ հայ ժողովուրդը քրիստոնեական հավատքի և լավատեսական ոգու շնորհիվ կկարողանա հաղթահարել առկա դժվարություններն ու մարտահրավերները:

Արգենտինա-Հայաստան բարեկամական խմբի նախագահ Գիժերմո Անդրադան Նորին Սրբությանը տեղեկացրեց, որ իրենց այցի նպատակն է նաև անմիջականորեն ծանոթանալու Հայաստանում և Արցախում տիրող իրավիճակին՝ հավաստիացնելով, որ իրենց լիազորությունների շրջանակներում կնպաստեն տարածաշրջանում խաղաղության և կայունության հաստատման գործընթացներին:

Զրույցի ընթացքում անդրադարձ կատարվեց նաև Քույր Եկեղեցիների և միջեկեղեցական կազմակերպությունների ներդրած ջանքերին Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի հակամարտության խաղաղ կարգավորման և առկա մարտահրավերների հաղթահարման գործում։
