Ցավով տեղեկացա դեսպան Քրիստիան Տեր-Ստեփանյանի անժամանակ մահվան մասին։ Քրիստիանը Հայաստանի անկախությունից հետո հայրենադարձ առաջին դիվանագետներից էր, որն առաջին օրվանից կյանքը նվիրել էր դիվանագիտական աշխատանքին և իր գործունեության ընթացքում մեծ ներդրում ունեցել Հայաստանի արտաքին քաղաքական խնդիրների լուծման գործում։ Այս մասին գրում է ՀՀ ԱԳ նախկին նախարար Վարդան Օսկանյանը։

«Նա նաև ակտիվ ներգրավվածություն է ունեցել արցախյան բանակցային գործընթացում, հատկապես առաջին տարիներին։ Ես գիտեմ, որ նա ծանր էր տանում Արցախի կորուստը և այսօրվա աներևակայելի իրականությունը։

Իմ դիվանագիտական գործունեության և հատկապես նախարարության տասը տարիներին հաճախ եմ հենվել Քրիստիանի խորհուրդների, փորձի և գործունեության վրա։ Պետք է ասեմ, որ նա միշտ մեծ վարպետությամբ է կատարել արտերկրում իր առաջ դրված խնդիրներն ու առաջադրանքները։

Քրիստիանի մահը մեծ կորուստ է հայ դիվանագիտության համար։

Ցավակցում եմ նրա հարազատներին, ընկերներին և հայ ու օտար դիվանագիտական հանրությանը»։
