ՀՀ արտաքին գործերի նախարար Զոհրաբ Մնացականյանի խոսքով` Հայաստանն ունի պաշտպանվելու կարողություն, բայց խաղաղ կարգավորման գործընթացն այլընտրանք չունի: Այս մասին Մնացականյանն ասել է «Ալ Ջազիրա»-ին տված հարցազրույցում:

Մնացականյանը նշել է, որ հուլիսի 12-ից սկսած՝ վերջին օրերին եղավ շատ վտանգավոր զարգացում, երբ ադրբեջանական ուժերի կողմից մեծ տրամաչափի հրետանու կիրառմամբ փորձ արվեց ներթափանցելու հայկական տարածք Հայաստանի հյուսիսարևելյան հատվածում՝ դրանով իսկ ավելացնելով լարվածության վտանգը, որն այժմ կա:

«Ներկայումս առաջնահերթություն են լարվածության նվազեցման փորձերը: Սա այն է, ինչի ուղղությամբ մենք աշխատում ենք, սա այն է, ինչի շուրջ մենք աշխատում ենք ԵԱՀԿ Մինսկի խմբի համանախագահների հետ, որի կազմում են Ֆրանսիան, Ռուսաստանը և ԱՄՆ-ը: Սա է ներկայիս առաջնահերթությունը: Մենք ունենք լարվածության նվազեցման կարիք: Հայաստանն ունի պաշտպանվելու կարողություն, Հայաստանը հանդիասնում է Արցախի անվտանգության երաշխավորը, պատերազմը տարբերակ չէ: Խաղաղ կարգավորման գործընթացն այլընտրանք չունի: Մենք շարունակում ենք հանձնառու լինել վերջինիս և կաշխատենք իրադրության լիցքաթափման և այնպիսի միջավայրի ձևավորման ուղղությամբ, որն օգնում է խաղաղությանը և նպաստում է բանակցային գործընթացին»,- ասել է նախարարը:

Արտաքին գործերի նախարարը բավական հուսադրող է որակել այն, որ մոտ 12-14 ժամերի ընթացքում, հայ-ադրբեջանական սահմանին առկա է հարաբերական անդորր:

«Մենք մշտական կապի մեջ ենք ԵԱՀԿ Մինսկի խմբի համանախագահների հետ, Ռուսաստանի և մյուս գործընկերներ ԱՄՆ-ի և Ֆրանսիայի հետ: Մենք փորձում ենք գտնել այն ձևը, որը հնարավորություն կընձեռի պահպանելու այս հարաբերական անդորրը և վերահաստատելու հրադադարի ռեժիմը, որը հաստատվել է 1994թ.-ին և այդ ժամանակվանից ի վեր լիարժեք ուժի մեջ է. փաստաթուղթ, որը ստորագրվել է Հայաստանի, Արցախի և Ադրբեջանի կողմից: Եվ այժմ հրադադարի ռեժիմի լիարժեք վերականգնումը մեր առաջնահերթությունն  է»,- նշել է Մնացականյանը:
