Իշխանության ներկայացուցիչներն առանց միմյանց հերթ զիջելու հայտարարում են, որ ամեն ինչով կանգնած են սյունեցու կողքին, իսկ պետությունը անում է ամեն բան, որպեսզի Սյունիքի մարզի բնակիչները ստեղծված իրավիճակում հնարավորինս քիչ վնասով դուրս գան:

Իրականում, սակայն, իրավիճակը այնպիսինն է, որ իշխանությունները կողմնակի դիտորդի դեր են գրավել՝ սյունեցուն և մարզը մատնելով բախտի քմահաճույքին: Դեռ մի կողմ դնենք այն հանգամանքը, որ պատերազմից հետո բանավոր պայմանավորվածություններով ադրբեջանցիները սանտիմետր առ սանտիմետր զավթում են Սյունիքի մարզի բարձրադիր դիրքերը, իսկ Կապան-Ճակատեն հատվածում նրանց առաջխաղացումը կանխում են միայն ռուս խաղաղապահները: 2021 թվականի բյուջեով Սյունիքի մարզին նույնքան սուբսիդիա է հատկացվել, որքան նախորդ տարի: Կառավարությունը անգամ հարկ չի համարել ստեղծված իրավիճակում ավելացնել մարզին հատկացվող գումարները՝ բյուջեում վերաբաշխում անելով:

Սյունեցիները իշխանությունների ապիկարության հետևանքով կորցրել են իրենց մշակելի հողատարածքները և արոտավայրերը: Կառավարությունը ոչինչ չի անում այդ վնասը փոխհատուցելու համար, վարկերը մարելու կամ մարման ժամկետները հետաձգելու մասին նույնպես խոսք անգամ չկա: Սյունիքի մարզը Հայաստանի տուրիստական թիվ մեկ ուղղությունն էր, որը այսօր դառնում է խիստ վտանգավոր և ոչ այնքան գրավիչ թե տեղացիների, թե արտասահմանցիների համար: Հետևաբար տուրիզմի ոլորտը նույնպես հսկայական հարված է ստացել, որը սակայն  իշխանություններին բնավ չի հետաքրքրում:

Իսկ այ փիառվել ուրիշ արածով իշխանությունները կարող են: Մասնավորապես՝ փոխվարչապետ Տիգրան Ավինյանն էր հայտարարել, որ Շուռնուխում նոր առանձնատներ են կառուցվում՝ իր պայմանավորվածությունների համաձայն: Ավինյանին հերքել էր Գորիսի համայնքապետարանը, որը հայտարարեց՝ առանձնատները կառուցում են բարերարների աջակցությամբ, իսկ պետությունը դրա հետ որևէ կապ չունի: Այսքան խնդիրների ֆոնին Սյունիքի նորանշանակ մարզպետը, այլ կարևոր գործ չգտնելով, այցելում է դպրոցներ կամ պատվոգրեր է հանձնում ոստիկաններին: Ինչ խոսք, դա էլ է կարևոր, բայց ոչ ավելի, քան սեփական մարզի բնակիչների անվտանգության ապահովումը, որը այսօր ամբողջությամբ իրականացվում է ռուս խաղաղապահների միջոցով: Ռուսական կողմը սահման է պահում, բարերարները օգնում են սյունեցիների խնդիրների լուծմանը: Իսկ պետությունը ինչպես միշտ իր տեղում չէ:
