«Հրապարակ» թերթը գրում է. «Արդեն գրեթե պատրաստ է կաթողիկոսների հուղարկավորության համար նախատեսված դամբարանը, որի գաղափարը պատկանում է Գարեգին Բ-ին։ Մոտ 25 հայրապետի հուղարկավորության հաշվարկով կառուցված հսկա դամբարանում նախապես ծրագրված էր վերահուղարկավորել նախկին կաթողիկոսներին եւ ապագայում հանգչողներին։ Սակայն դամբարանի պատրաստմանը զուգահեռ հասկացել են, որ վերահուղարկավորում անել չեն կարող, իսկ գործող կաթողիկոսի համար էլ այդ մասին մտածելը դեռ վաղ է։ Եվ պարզվել է, որ դամբարանն անտեղի է կառուցվել։

Մայր Աթոռի տեղեկատվական համակարգի տնօրեն Տեր Եսայի քահանա Արթենյանը մեզ հետ զրույցում նշեց, որ մոմավառության սրահի եւ դամբարանի կառուցման աշխատանքները կավարտվեն տարեվերջին։ Այն հարցին, թե որքան գումար է ծախսվել դամբարանը կառուցելու համար, քահանա Արթենյանը նշեց, որ շինարարական աշխատանքները դեռ շարունակվում են, եթե բարերարը հարմար գտնի, ավարտվելուն պես կհրապարակի։

Մենք հետաքրքրվեցինք, թե ինչպես է առաջացել կաթողիկոսական դամբարանի կառուցման գաղափարը։ «Մայր տաճարի որմնանկարները մոմավառության ծխից եւ հավելյալ ջերմության ազդեցությունից պաշտպանելու համար որոշվեց կառուցել առանձին մոմավառության սրահ՝ այն համադրելով կաթողիկոսական դամբարանի հետ, որտեղ կհուղարկավորվեն ամենայն հայոց հայրապետները, որպեսզի Մայր տաճարի մուտքի հատվածում այլեւս հուղարկավորություններ չկատարվեն»։ Հարցրինք, թե արդյոք նախկին կաթողիկոսները վերահուղարկավորվելո՞ւ են դամբարանում։ Տեր Եսային ասաց, որ դեռեւս նման որոշում չկա»:
