Fundamental rights and freedoms are fully ensured in Azerbaijan: Baku's reaction to French MFA

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan described the statement of the French Foreign Ministry about the harassment and arrests against the freedom of speech in the country as "interference in the internal affairs of the country".

 

The Foreign Ministry noted that "Paris has no moral right to blame Baku for human rights violations" because corruption and Islamophobia are allegedly widespread in France.

 

In the statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, it is also said that the fundamental rights and freedoms, as well as the freedom of the mass media, are fully ensured there.
