Ադրբեջանագետ Տաթևիկ Հայրապետյանը ֆեյսբուքյան իր էջում անդրադարձել է հարցին, թե ինչու Ալիևը կրկին որոշեց արտահերթ նախագահական ընտրություններ անցկացնել․

«Այդ հարցի պատասխանը, ըստ իս, տրված է Ալիևի երեկվա՝ չորս ժամից ավել տևած հարցուպատասխանի ժամանակ: 

Ալիևը բազմիցս նշել է, որ ինքը Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի հարցը «լուծել է» ուժով: Երեկ նա ավելի համապարփակ կերպով դա ներկայացրեց՝ փաստացի շեշտելով, որ պատերազմը դա հարցերի լուծման լավագույն ուղին է: 
Գնալով արտահերթ ընտրությունների՝ Ալիևը ամրագրելու է այս դրույթը, նա ցույց է տալու, որ ունի ադրբեջանցի ժողովրդի աջակցությունը ռազմական ճանապարհով խնդիրներ «լուծելու» համար: Քանի որ Ալիևի նկրտումները Լեռնային Ղարաբաղով չեն սահմանափակվում, իսկ նա դա երբեք էլ չի թաքցրել, ապա նոր մասշտաբային ագրեսիաները կարելի է «արդարացնել» ժողովրդի կամքով: 

Եթե հիշեք 2020 թվականի սեպտեմբերյան ագրեսիայից առաջ՝ Ադրբեջանում հանրահավաքներ էին՝ պատերազմի կոչերով: Դա մեթոդ է, որն Ալիևը կիրառում է: 

Արտահերթ ընտրությունների գնալու այլ պատճառներ էլ կան՝

Ադրբեջանի անկախության հռչակումից ի վեր Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի տարածքում ադրբեջանական օրենքներով ընտրություններ չեն անցկացվել: Առաջին անգամ Ադրբեջանը ընտրություններ կանցկացնի այդ տարածքներում՝ հայերին բռնի տեղահանելուց հետո:

Ալիևը ցույց կտա, որ իր բռնապետությունը «ընտրված է», այսինքն՝ ժողովուրդը կամավոր կերպով կամրագրի բռնապետական վարչակարգը, քանի որ հայերի դեմ տասնամյակներ շարունակ ագրեսիա, ատելություն ու վրեժ քարոզելուց հետո Ալիևը ցույց է տվել, թե ինչպես է «պատժում» հայերին ու նաև ներկայացնում է, թե ինչպես է շարունակելու իր զավթողական քայլերը: «Արևմտյան Ադրբեջանի» թեզը դրա վառ ապացույցն է, իսկ դա ադրբեջանական հանրային տիրույթում մեծ խանդավառությամբ է ընդունվում: Հենց երեկ Ալիևն ասում է, որ իրենք վիրտուալ քարտեզ են տեղադրելու, որ ադրբեջանցիները դեռևս վիրտուալ ճամփորդեն իրենց «հայրենիք», ինչպիսին իրենք համարում են Հայաստանի Հանրապետությունը:

Անսպասելի ընտրություններով Ալիևը նաև կկանխի որևէ խառնակչություն ու խժդժություն, եթե նման ռիսկեր տեսանելի են: 

Կարող են լինել նաև այլ գործոններ, որոնք դեռևս տեսանելի չեն հանրային տիրույթում: 

Ինձ համար ակնհայտ է՝ Ալիևը որևէ թուղթ չի ստորագրելու, դա պատրանք է, իսկ փետրվարից հետո մենք ստանալու ենք ավելի ագրեսիվ ու վտանգավոր Ադրբեջան, ինչին ՀՀ ներկայիս իշխանությունը հրաժարվել է դիմակայել: Ես ևս մեկ անգամ համոզվում եմ, որ մենք ունենք երկու–երեք ամիս Փաշինյանին հեռացնելու, պրոֆեսիոնալ, պետականամետ կառավարություն ձևավորելու ու մեր գլխին գալիք սպառնալիքները դիվանագիտական ու քաղաքական ճանապարհով կանխելու համար: Շատ կուզեմ, որ խելամիտ ու վճռական քայլերով կանխենք վտանգները, քան թե հետո գլխներիս տանք...»,- գրել է Հայրապետյանը։
