Էդուարդ Շարմազանովը գրում է. «Հայ-ռուսական դաշինքի և մեր տարածաշրջանում Ռուսաստանի դերակատարման բարձրացման ընդդիմախոսներն ակամայից կողմ են հանդես գալիս Թուրքիայի դերի բարձրացմանը:

Ակնհայտ է,որ Հայաստանի գլխավոր սպառնալիքը Թուրքիան ու Ադրբեջանն են։

Ավելին,Թուրքիան Հարավային Կովկասում իրականացնում է նաեւ Հավաքական Արեւմուտքի հիմնական դաշնակցի դերը։

Թուրքական ու ադրբեջանական սպառնալիքը թողած,նիկոլական,նիկոլամերձ ու արեւմտամոլ որոշ ուժեր սկսել են հերթական հակառուսական հիստերիան տարածել։

Նմանատիպ վիճակ էր նաեւ շուրջ 100 տարի առաջ։

Գիրծիչների մի մասը փրկության հույսը կապում էր Արեւմուտքի հետ,բայց 1920-ին սկսված թուրք-հայկական պատերազմում Արեւմուտքը որեւէ օժանդակություն չցուցաբերեց մեզ։

Արդյունքում 1920-ի դեկտեմբերի 2-ին կնքվեց Ալեքսանդրապոլի պայմանագիրը,որի համաձայն ՀՀ տարածքը կազմելու էր 10 հազ.քառ.կմ -ից էլ քիչ տարածք։

Եվ միայն Հայաստանի խորհրդայնացման արդյունքում հնարավոր եղավ Հայաստանի տարածքն ավելացնել ավելի քան 3 անգամ՝ դարձնելով շուրջ 30 հազ.քառ. կմ։

Հայ-ռուսական դաշինքի ամենից արդյունավետ շրջանը 1991-2018թթ.,երբ ստորագրվեցին ռուսական 102-րդ ռազմաբազայի տեղակայման հռչակագիրը,հայ-ռուսական մեծ պայմանագիրը,ՀՀ անդամակցումը ՀԱՊԿ-ին ,իսկ ՀՀ երրորդ նախագահ Սերժ Սարգսյանի ջանքերով մեր երկիրն անդամակցեց Մաքսային միությանը,իսկ այնուհետեւ ԵԱՏՄ-ին,երկարաձգվեց մինչեւ 2044-ը ռուսական ռազմաբազայի տեղակայումը,ստորագրվեց 300 մլն ԱՄՆ դոլարին համարժեք ռուսական գործարանային ներքին գներով ռազմամթերքի ստացման պայմանագիրը,Երեւանում ընդունվեց ՀԱՊԿ ռազմավարությունը։

Այդ ժամանակաշրջանի հայ-ռուսական հարաբերություններն առանձնանում էին կանխատեսելիությամբ ու փոխվստահությամբ։

Վերջին տարիներին հայկական տնտեսության ակտիվացումը բացառապես կապված է հենց նախագահ Սարգսյանի որոշմամբ ՝ անդամակցելու ԵԱՏՄ-ին։

Իսկ ո՞վ էր ԱԺ-ում 2017-ին նախաձեռնում ԵԱՏՄ-ից դուրս գալու գործընթացը։

Իսկ եթե նիկոլիստները չիրականացնեին արտաքին տուրբուլենտ ու իզմեր չունեցող քաղաքականություն,ՀՀ-ն չէր գտնվի այս խայտառակ իրավիճակում։
