«Ամերիկայի ձայն»․ «Ամերիկայի ձայնը» զրուցել է ԱՄՆ արդարադատության նախարարության փողերի լվացման և ակտիվների վերականգնման բաժնի միջազգային ստորաբաժանման ղեկավար Մերի Բաթլերի հետ՝ հայաստանյան նախկին պաշտոնյա, մեծահարուստ Գագիկ Խաչատրյանի ընտանիքին պատկանող շքեղ առանձնատան գործի առնչությամբ։ Նյութը ներկայացնում է նաև Խաչատրյանների ընտանիքի փաստաբանների հայտարարությունը գործի առնչությամբ

«Ամերիկայի ձայն». «Օրերս [ԱՄՆ] Արդարադատության նախարարությունը մամուլի հաղորդագրություն և հայտարարություն տարածեց Հայաստանի նախկին պաշտոնյա Գագիկ Խաչատրյանի հետ կապված գործի մասին, ով նախկինում եղել է ֆինանսների նախարար և հարկային ու մաքսային գերատեսչության ղեկավար։ Գործն առնչվում է նրա ընտանիքին պատկանող առանձնատանը, որի արժեքն է մոտ 63 միլիոն [դոլար է]: Այն առնվազն այդ գնով էր հայտնվել շուկայում։ Գործը տևեց մոտ երկու տարի, եթե չեմ սխալվում, կամ, գուցե, ավելի շատ՝ համաձայնության հասնելու համար։ Կարո՞ղ եք մանրամասներ հայտնել գործի վերաբերյալ, և ո՞րն է եղել նախաքննությունը սկսելու հիմնական պատճառը»։

Մերի Բաթլեր. «Ուրախ եմ ներկայացնել գործի հրապարակային փաստերի մասը: Նախ՝ ուզում եմ ընդգծել, որ սա Արդարադատության նախարարության Ավազակապետության հետ կապված ակտիվները վերականգնող բաժնի կողմից ներկայացված հայց էր, որը ստեղծվել է Փողերի լվացման և ակտիվների վերականգնման վարչությունում: Սա ասում եմ այն հույսով, որ մեր ունկնդիրները կհասկանան, թե ովքեր ենք մենք և տեղեկատվություն կներկայացնեն իրենց մտահոգող այլ հարցերի վերաբերյալ: Մեր բաժինը պաշտոնապես ստեղծվել է մոտ 2010 թվականին: Մինչ այժմ վերականգնել ենք շուրջ 1,7 միլիարդ դոլար: Վերադարձրել ենք կամ աջակցել մոտ 1,6 միլիարդ դոլարի վերադարձմանը։ Ջանասիրաբար փորձում ենք իրականացնել գերատեսչության առաքելությունը՝ վերականգնել օտարերկրյա կոռուպցիայի հետ կապված ակտիվները, ինչպես նաև կատարել կոռուպցիայի դեմ պայքարի հարցում ՄԱԿ-ի առջև ստանձնած մեր պարտավորությունները: Սա անելու համար ունենք դատախազների հատուկ ստորաբաժանում, որն աշխատում է Հետաքննությունների դաշնային բյուրոյի հատուկ գործակալների և այլ իրավապահ մարմինների հետ:
