Կենսաբանական գիտությունների թեկնածու Հովակիմ Զաքարյանը գրում է.

«Կապիկի ծաղիկը (Mpox) նորություն չի։ 1970-ական թվականներից պարբերաբար գրանցվել են այս վիրուսի դեպքեր, հիմնականում Աֆրիկայում, քանի որ վիրուսի բնական տերերը Աֆրիկայում տարածված փոքր կապիկների մի քանի տեսակներ են։ Վիրուսը պատկանում է կարգաբանական նույն ընտանիքին, ինչ բնական ծաղիկի վիրուսը, որն այլևս չի հանդիպում բնության մեջ։

Ինչու՞ է ԱՀԿ հիմա ահազանգում։ Քանի որ վերջին մեկ տարվա մեջ գրանցվել է 18 000-ից ավել դեպք, որից շուրջ 900 մահվան ավարտով (մոտ 5%)։ Անցյալում նմանատիպ խոշոր բռնկում դեռ չէր եղել։

Վիրուսի առաջին դեպքը նաև գրանցվեց Աֆրիկայից դուրս՝ Շվեդիայում, ինչը նշանակում է, որ վիրուսը սկսել է «ճամփորդել» ու նոր դեպքերի քանակը կարող է կտրուկ ավելանալ։ Վիրուսը տարածվում է կոնտակտային եղանակով, ունի համեմատաբար կարճ ինկուբացիոն/թաքուն շրջան։

Ի՞նչ պետք է անի ՀՀ ԱՆ։

Նախ 1) ապահովի ախտորոշման համար անհրաժեշտ ռեագենտների մեծ չափաքանակ (եթե դեռ չի արել),

2) որոշի այն թիրախային խմբերին, որոնք պետք է նմուշառվեն եթե նույնիսկ չկան սիմպտոմներ,

3) սահմանային ավելի լուրջ վերահսկողություն իրականացնի՝ հաշվի առնելով, որ տուրիստական սեզոնը դեռ չի ավարտվել ու կա մարդկանց մեծ տեղաշարժ»։
