Tolstoy estate to be spruced up by volunteers

Hundreds of young volunteers from across Russia will assemble in a camp outside Tula south of Moscow Sunday to help out on a project to spruce up the family estate of the 19th -century Russian novelist Leo Tolstoy.
The Yasnaya Polyana estate sits on 412 hectares. Some 700 of the trees there were in their places in the time of Leo Tolstoy. Tolstoy wrote his famous novels War and Peace and Anna Karenina while staying in his Yasnaya Polyana house.
