Представители властей продолжают всячески ограничивать право на свободу слова и ухудшать условия деятельности СМИ. Члены команды Никола Пашиняна, оставив нерешенными вопросы безопасности Арцаха и Армении, защиты границ страны, катастрофической войны, перевооружения армии на день вперед, произнесли одно слово, расправили рукава и перешли к журналистам. Между тем, одно из их предвыборных обещаний касалось того, что, придя к власти, члены Гражданского договора сделают все возможное и невозможное для защиты прав журналистов, прозрачной работы, а свобода слова станет визитной карточкой демократической Армении. Никол Пашинян заявлял, что пресса сегодня в РА свободна как никогда.

В то же  время депутат от "Гражданского договора" Лилит Минасян решила выдвинуть проект, согласно которому государственные ведомства могут решать, кто из журналистов, представляющих СМИ, может быть аккредитован в государственной структуре, а кто нет. Более того, ссылаясь на какие-либо дисциплинарные положения в любое время, журналист может быть лишен аккредитации. А это, в свою очередь, означает, что власти просто хотят ограничить доступ независимых журналистов и сотрудников, представляющих оппозиционные СМИ, в ту или иную государственную структуру, в результате они будут работать только с теми,кто покорно будут служить властям. Такова ли свобода слова, обещанная ГД, и если да, то должны ли они с самого начала быть честными со своими избирателями, а не расточать красивые и популистские обещания? Очевидно, что, выдвинув подобный проект и лоббируя его принятие, депутат подставила самого Пашиняне, который давал диаметрально противоположные обещания.
