83.8% of survey respondents in Azerbaijan are in favor of signing peace treaty with Armenia

The Social Research Center of Azerbaijan has conducted a survey among the country’s population to find out the Azerbaijani public opinion on the prospects of signing a peace agreement between Azerbaijan and Armenia.

According to the results of the survey conducted in June, 83.8 percent of the respondents answered "Yes, I support" to the question "Do you support the signing of a peace treaty between Azerbaijan and Armenia?", 13.5 percent answered "No, I do not support," and 2.7 percent could not answer, Azerbaijani mass media reported.

The aforesaid survey was conducted among 1,152 respondents aged 18 and older, on the principle of anonymity, and the margin of error was 3 percent with a 95-percent confidence interval.
