Armenia premier on 1988 border delimitation: That package has not been legally enforced
Science and cultureThere is a lot of talk about the border delimitation work of the 1980s. It is said that the government does not know about them, it destroyed those documents. I want to say that I touched those papers, saw them, got to know them, and read them. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated this during his press conference Tuesday.
"The whole problem is that in that document it is written how it comes into force. That whole process, the documents that were in 1988, did not come into force. It has not taken effect. Since 2020, a considerable part of our work has been about inventorying, studying all documents related to [Armenia-Azerbaijan] border delimitation, with one goal: knowing exactly where Armenia's legitimate border runs. We have those papers, they are on our table, but that process, that package has not received legal force," the Armenian PM said.
