Artak Tovmasyan calls on the factions to start an impeachment process

I warned, in my speech on November 16, about everything that is happening in the streets of Yerevan today. I said that our country is in a very deep economic, political and governance crisis. Due to the defeatist foreign policy of the government, the domestic policy can lead to civil strife.

As the internal political situation is extremely tense today, these clashes are already inevitable in Armenia.

In this context, I turn to the security forces again.

Remember guys that you are a part of the Armenian nation, and these changes are also for you. Do not carry out illegal orders, do not give in to provocations, do not go out against the people to prolong the life of the government.

I remind all the employees of the Police, National Security and other law enforcement agencies that their mothers and sisters, their wives and children are standing in front of them.

Dear mothers and sisters, keep your fathers and sons, serving in the security forces, away from this catastrophe.

At the same time, I address all the deputies of the National Assembly ․ Today, it is not a matter of interests of different parties. We must all stand up and remove this government only in a constitutional way.

Deputies of "My Step" party, you have an exceptional chance to clean yourselves. Do not take on such a responsibility, do not go out against the people, put your personal interests aside, do not help the government to cling to its seats, launch the process of impeachment of Nikol Pashinyan.

Urgently start political consultations with representatives of the parliamentary factions, convene an extraordinary meeting and express no confidence in the Prime Minister by handing over the management of the state to the interim government. Only in this case it will be possible to keep the country away from unnecessary upheavals and civil conflicts, the danger of which, today, is greater than ever!

Nikol Pashinyan, who blamed even the “Iskander-M” missile system for his defeat, takes people out onto the streets and once again proves his anti-state mentality, shows his weakness, thereby not running the state but manipulating the people.
