Britney Spears: My family hurt me

Britney Spears appears to have broken her silence on the recent legal saga with her father, Jamie Spears.

In a since-deleted topless photo posted on social media, Spears first opened up about receiving acupuncture for nerve damage in her back and then criticized family members just days after finally settling a contentious custody case in which her father effectively controlled her financially and personally business for 13 years.

The court order had ended successfully on November 12, 2021, but the unresolved dispute over Jamie's request for Britney to pay legal fees ended recently. Details of the case have not been disclosed.

“My family hurt me!!! There was no justice and probably never will be!!!” Britney wrote on Instagram. Britney, 42, alluded to the fact that she still hasn't spoken to her mother and father due to safety concerns.

“It’s funny because I still haven’t told them this in person!!! I'm posting via IG but I truly believe it won't be as safe if I ever come face to face with this,” Britney wrote. “I miss my home in Louisiana and would love to go there, but they took everything!!!”
