The proposal of "ArmRosgasprom". Current tariff - 132 000 AMD, proposed rate - 221 000 AMD

Armenia’s major natural gas supplier, Hayrusgazard, (ArmRosgasprom) and the Transgas company have asked the Public Services Regulatory Commission to consider a proposal for raising the natural gas prices.

They have proposed a formula for the consumers who use monthly up to 10,000 cubic meters of natural gas, and elaborated new service delivery terms, says a statement on the Hayrusgazard website.

The companies calculations’ suggest that the monthly per cubic meter tariffs for the above consumers has to rise from 132,000 Drams ($317) to 221,000 ($532) Drams (including the value added tax).

For consumers using up to 10 cubic meters a month, sold each 1000 normal cubic meters of natural gas:

-current tariff - 132,000 drams, including VAT,
-proposed tariff - 221,000 drams, including VAT.

Provision of operator services of gas supply system:

- Current rate - 20,618 drams, including VAT, for the transportation of every thousand normal cubic meters of natural gas,
- Proposed tariff -33,695 drams, including VAT, for the transportation of every thousand normal cubic meters of natural gas.

Natural Gas Distribution:

- Current rate - 13709.698 drams, including VAT, for the distribution of every thousand normal cubic meters of natural gas,
- Proposed tariff - 26638.071 AMD, including VAT, for the distribution of every thousand normal cubic meters of natural gas.

Natural gas transportation:

- Current rate - 6948266 drams, including VAT, for the transportation of every thousand normal cubic meters of natural gas,
- Proposed tariff -12989,186 drams, including VAT - for the transportation of every thousand normal cubic meters of natural gas.
