Ameriabank Presents Retail Banking Results for H1 2026

At a press conference held on July 28 Arman Barseghyan, Ameriabank’s Retail Banking Director, presented the bank’s results for H1 2026, performance for the recent years, key milestones achieved, development priorities, and future plans in the retail banking sector.

Barseghyan noted that Ameriabank now serves over 900,000 customers. The bank’s customer base grew at an average rate of 23.41% over the past 5 years, and doubled in the last 2 years.

Concurrently with the expansion of the client base, customer digital engagement has increased at a progressive rate; in particular, over the preceding 5-year period monthly active user metrics within digital ecosystem exhibited an average growth rate of 55.81%.

As of June 30, 2026, Ameriabank’s retail deposit portfolio exceeded AMD 1 trillion 30 billion. Time deposit portfolio has grown by 19% year-to-date, amounting to AMD 423 billion, and demand deposit portfolio has grown by 18%, totaling AMD 446 billion (as of June 30, 2026).

 Ameriabank’s retail loan portfolio has increased by over 10% year-to-date to exceed AMD 800 billion as of June 30, 2026, with mortgage loan portfolio up by 12%, surpassing AMD 400 billion.

As of June 30, 2026, Ameriabank’s bond portfolio amounted to AMD 160 billion. Significantly, this year Ameriabank fully placed its inaugural USD 100 million perpetual bonds, reinforcing its capital position and diversifying funding structure.

Arman Barseghyan outlined the new features of MyAmeria application, as well as MyHome, MyCar, MyInvest and MyBusiness platforms, future plans and the bank’s initiatives in digital transformation and implementation of artificial intelligence.

Along with the evolution and enhancement of digital platforms, Ameriabank also prioritizes the expansion of its branch network to ensure regional accessibility and localized customer engagement. In particular, this year the first Ameria branches were opened in Ararat region and Nork-Marash administrative district of Yerevan, and two more branches are scheduled to open before the year-end, specifically for the Bank’s Premium and Persona customers.
