Conscript arrested for the murder of his colleague- RA Ministry of Defense of Armenia

On May 15 around 15:30 a.m ordinary conscript of N military unit of RA Ministry of Defense David Khachatryan fired from gun of AKM mark, as a result of which conscript Luxe Stepanyan was shot to his head and died on site, the other conscript Hrachya Sargsyan was wounded in his head, the press service of the Defense Ministry reports.

Hrachya Sargsyan was brought to the rehabilitation of the Central Military Clinical Hospital of the Ministry of Defense.

Given the evidence the investigative service of the Defense Ministry of Armenia initiated a criminal case on the 6th paragraph of second part of Article 104 of the Criminal Code (murder committed in a manner dangerous to the lives of many people.)

David Khachatryan has been detained.

Investigation is under way.
