Belgium baggage handlers return to work

On Thursday the government threatened to intervene against baggage handlers at Belgium's largest airport forcing them to resume work after they refused to end a strike despite a mediated deal, Dpa reports.

"Swissport employees have resumed their work," Brussels Airport said." However a full return to normal handling activity will only be visible from Friday."

The airport workers had gone on strike Sunday to protest staff shortages and high workloads.
