Yekaterinburg, capital of the Urals Federal District, has launched celebrations to mark the 400th anniversary of the Imperial House of Romanov.

The main festivities were headed by the Primate of the Russian Orthodox Church Patriarch Kirill, who is currently on a pastoral visit to Yekaterinburg metropolitan province.
