Sonda: "It would take a lot for Neymar not to end up at Barça"
Sport
Businessman Delcir Sonda, who owns 40% of Neymar's rights, told Catalan radio channel 'RAC1' earlier that "a lot" would have to change to prevent the Brazilian starlet from joining Barcelona next season.
The situation with Neymar is far from straightforward: while Santos owns 55% of his rights and his registration, the rest is shared between two investment groups, Sonda's DIS (which controls 40%) and Teisa, which holds the remaining 5%. "The expectation is for him to go to Barcelona, because his contract there is watertight", said Sonda, in reference to the €10 million down payment made by Barcelona last year.
Sonda claimed that Barcelona is currently negotiating exclusively with Santos, but insisted that his company is owed a cut of any deal. "They should know that I'm due 40% and I've already told [Barça president] Sandro Rosell that twice".
