Several Armenian EMERCOM officers punished and dismissed

Three officers of the Emergency Control Ministry of Armenia were dismissed, and several high-ranking officials of the Ministry received reprimand and warning, Armenianreport reported with reference to the Ministry's press service.

This decision was made today by the Emergency Minister Armen Yeritsyan at a special meeting dedicated to the accident registered on May 14.

A Fiat, an Opel Vectra and an Emergency Ministry's Isuzu fire truck crashed on Nubarashen highway on May 14. As a result of the accident, the driver of the Isuzu and the Fiat, as well as the driver and a passenger of the Opel were taken to the hospital. The driver of the Fiat Robert Abrahamyan born in 1972 died in the hospital without regaining consciousness.
