Simeone: "We are the hope for society, for people suffering"

After watching his side win the Copa del Rey at the expense of city rivals Real Madrid, Atlético coach Diego Simeone told the cameras of Spanish television channel 'TVE': "It was an incredible game. We had the luck needed to win the trophy. What these players have been doing for the past year-and-a-half is incredible. I'm lost for words. Now we have to think about the next game if we want to keep on developing. That's the only way we know."

Simeone later spoke to the media at the post-match press conference, highlighting his team's collective spirit to claim the Copa after falling behind to Cristiano Ronaldo's first-half goal.
