Karabakh President attends 20th anniversary of Karin Tak village’s heroic battle.

President of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic Bako Sahakyan on January 26 visited Shushi region and participated in the solemn event dedicated to the 20th anniversary celebration of the heroic battle in Karin Tak village.

The President mentioned that the defense of Karin Tak village has its special place in the Armenians' national liberation struggle. It is also the first and one of the major victories. The battle showed that patriotism, faith and self-dedication are capable of neutralizing and defeating the opponent that is at an advantage in terms of quantity.

The head of state underlined that that victory, as well as all the other victories were scored through sacrifice, and the best way of keeping the memory of our martyrs alive is the advancement of the country and the building of Karin Tak village and the other residences of the republic.

Among the participants were high-ranking officials, as well as guests from Armenia and abroad, reports the presidential press service.
