Earthquakes hit Russia’s Far East

A number of earthquakes have hit Russia’s Kamachatka region in the Far East, with seismic activity still being felt in the area.
The earthquakes occurred overnight, some 180 kilometers south-east of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, with a magnitude ranging from 4.0 to 6.4.
The local geophysical service announced that pockets of seismic events are striking at intervals ranging from six minutes to three hours, at a depth of 40-60 km beneath the seabed.
No Tsunami warnings have been issued or injuries reported.
