"Hraparak": "Unique" initiative of the newly appointed Minister of Finance of the Republic of Armenia

Newly appointed Finance Minister David Sargsyan after taking office, made a single "unique" initiative.

He believes that the primary responsibility of the Minister of Finance is - economy, and is likely to add to this as a negative attitude on his part and on the part of his team to the press, and has decided to combine business with pleasure: hiding behind the economy, to prohibit reading a newspaper.

And the first thing he did - sent a formal notice departments, demanding to cut subscriptions to newspapers.

According to sources of the newspaper "Hraparak", in government departments, this directive applies primarily to independent and opposition media. "We also thought that once the authorities would understand that supporting a free press, the establishment of press - a step towards the development of the country and one of the main responsibilities of the state", the newspaper said.
