Florentino in figures: 10 years, €860 million spent, 10 trophies
Sport
An examination of the record of Florentino Pérez, who is celebrating a decade at the helm of the most decorated club in football history, shows that he has invested almost €860 million in the transfer market to win just ten trophies over the last ten years.
In other words, each piece of silverware has cost an average of €86 million, a crazy amount considering the nature of the haul achieved: just one Champions League, three 'La Liga' titles, one Spanish Cup, three Spanish Super Cups, one UEFA Super Cup and one Intercontinental Cup.
Florentino has employed almost as many coaches as he has won trophies. Eight managers have been and gone during the current Real Madrid president's two mandates. Pérez took up the position in summer 2000 and his most successful period to date came under the man already installed in the 'Los Blancos' hotseat, Vicente Del Bosque.
