RA NA President Hovik Abrahamyan receives the Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba to the RA

On May 21 the RA NA President Hovik Abrahamyan received Emilio Ratmir Lozada Garcia, the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Cuba to the RA.

In the course of the meeting issues of the Armenian-Cuban inner-state and inter-parliamentary relations were discussed. Hovik Abrahamyan noted that in the National Assembly Armenia-Cuba Parliamentary Friendship Group was set up, and its Chairman Khosrov Harutyunyan was attending the meeting. Both sides highlighted the activation of the inter-parliamentary relations, the development of the trade-economic ties, particularly the cooperation in the spheres of health care, pharmaceutics and tourism. The Ambassador noted that the new Parliament of Cuba had been formed this year in February and in future there would be established Parliamentary Friendship Group with the RA NA. Within the framework of the inter-parliamentary relations the mutual visits, and the bilateral contacts were emphasized.

The Ambassador of Cuba to Armenia Emilio Ratmir Lozada Garcia promised to make efforts for deepening Cuba-Armenia relations for the sake of the two states and peoples.

During the meeting other issues were also discussed.
