Russia calls for interfaith dialogue
Russia
Russia believes global social disintegration, communal strife, economic deterioration and degradation of the natural environment cannot be checked without a productive dialogue involving the world’s major faiths.
Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov spoke about this in Moscow on Tuesday at a diplomatic reception on the occasion of Orthodox Easter. He said the best forums for the required dialogue are the United Nations, the Council of Europe and the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe.
The Russian Church celebrated Easter on May 5.
