Project of "Heritage" on amendments to the Electoral Code not accepted

The deputies of "Heritage" parliamentary faction Zaruhi Postanjyan, Rubik Hakobyan and Tevan Poghosyan presented yesterday to the National Assembly a draft law on amendments to the Electoral Code.

Rubik Hakobyan presented the project. According to him, during the last two elections, it became clear that the rigging and stuffing were made using the fact that the polls were not published.

Today, the draft was put to vote at the meeting in the Parliament. The head of RA RPA parliamentary faction Galust Sahakyan said that the faction voted against the project.

The parliamentary majority voted against the project, as a result it was not accepted.

The number of members who voted "for" the project was 41, "against" - 66, "abstain" -1.
