The volume of Russian imported gas to Armenia increased in 2011.

In comparison with 2010, the volume of natural gas Armenia imported from Russia increased by 11.73 percent in 2011, and it constituted 1.6 billion m3, ArmRusGazprom Company informed.
Also in the year past, the Company sold 12.72-percent more natural gas than in the previous year.
In addition, Armenia’s population consumed 16.95-percent more gas, the energy sector used 29.08-percent more, and other consumers used 18.01-percent more natural gas.
Armenia’s industrial sector, on the other hand, consumed 7.81-percent less gas in 2011 than in the previous year.
