Adriano signs up for another four seasons at Barcelona

Brazilian defender Adriano Correia, now 28, has reached an agreement with Barcelona to continue at the club for another four seasons. The deal was closed by the player’s agent, Paulo Affonso Neves, and ties Adriano to the Catalan side until 30 June 2017, when he will be 32. A buy-out clause of 90 million euros has been fixed.

Adriano arrived at Barcelonain 2010, with Sevilla receiving 9.5 million euros for the defender. This season he has played 34 games and scored 6 times. He has been a key piece in the side this season, given the injuries to players such as Puyol and Abidal, as he can play on the wings or in the heart of defence. In his career with Barça he has played 105 games and scored 10 goals.
