Spokesperson of "ArmRosgasprom" about rise of gas price in Armenia

Change in the price of gas supplied to consumers mainly depends on it increase at the border. This was said by the spokesperson of "ArmRosgasprom" Shushan Sardaryan on Radio Liberty ("Freedom").
Many Facebook users asked Shushan Sardaryan whether she knew about the level of poverty in the country, and whether she did not consider that the citizens would not be able to pay for gas.
"Of course I know about it. In any area of increase of 1-2 drams affects the consumer market, but it is necessary to find other solutions and mechanisms, there should be regulation of budget", she said.
Shushan Sardaryan noted that "ArmRusgasprom" is a business entity and is engaged in economic rather than political issues. She declined to comment on talks that the increase of gas tariff is pressure from Russia to Armenia, so that the latter completely forgets about European integration.
Regarding the comment that "ArmRusgasprom" has excess and by reducing their profit can keep the price of gas, Shushan Sardaryan said that "the company does not have superprofits and profits".
"In recent years we have been working at a loss. I can present to everyone our financial statements. However, this does not mean that with the help of the increase of gas price, we are trying to close the losses of previous years", she said.
