"Khio". As a result- a crumb
Science and culture
Yesterday, premiere of the short film "Khio" took place in the small hall of Yerevan's "Moscow" cinema.
The director of the film is Lilit Movsisyan, producer-Zara Minasian, director of photography, David Aivazyan.
The plot of the film is a woman's life, who lives in obedience everything and everyone, even time. The whole story is told with the help of hands. Woman's hands knead the dough, roll it, bake lavash (Armenian traditional bread)... under the sounds of "Khio, Khio" song, but then other arms snatch from woman's hands ready lavash, leaving in her hands only a crumb.
Film's director Lilit Movsisyan told the reporter Luof rer.com a little about the film.
"Producer of the movie made me an offer to shoot all human life specifically for the short term and specifically in a symbolic territory. Through the film, I tried to point out that this person is of Armenian origin, is an Armenian woman with numerous problems. In addition, it is a symbolic film, because you can spend a lot of parallels with any person, with any situation and position, with the relationship. In the end, this film is about the story of the woman who gives all her life, giving it to others. Anyone can find himslef in this movie, but still, I noted that this was a woman who can not leave herself at least a piece of her life.
Producer of the film Zara Minasyan told that the idea of the film belongs to Lilit, and she is author of the film.
"Lilit, clearly, was the right choice, as the genre of the film is close to her. Although initially it was feared that the film may be incomprehensible or inaccessible for the masses, but... eveything is well. We shot the film "Khio" to participate in international film festivals. We have already submitted applications to several film festivals," Minasyan said.
At the end of the premiere, we also talked with the actor Arsen Grigoryan and director Syoma Kodabashyan.
"There's a power in the film, a great power", shared with his impressions Syoma Kodabashyan.
Actor Arsen Grigoryan, in his turn, noted that thought, idea has been invested in each frame of the film.
The material was prepared by Nelli Avetisyan and Gayane Hambardzumyan.
