French customs seize large haul of counterfeit aspirin
Աշխարհ
French customs officers have seized 1.2 million doses of counterfeit aspirin from China, the biggest haul of fake medicines ever in France and the EU.
The goods, seized in the northwestern port of Le Havre, were hidden in a cargo of tea that arrived from China, government officials said in a statement on Saturday.
The powder was mostly glucose and contained no active ingredients.
The fake aspirin was to have been sent to a Spanish company based in the Balearic Islands for distribution in the Iberian Peninsula, the south of France and French-speaking Africa.
There is no information regarding arrests made in connection with the seized goods.
