Bikers rumble into D.C.
USA
More than a half-million motorcycles rumbled through Washington D.C. Sunday for the 26th annual Rolling Thunder bike ride.
Thousands of locals and visitors lined the 10-mile loop along the Potomac River.
The bike ride was the high point of the weekend-long event, which included speeches and ceremonies to recognize prisoners of war and soldiers missing in action.
The event is held annually in Washington, DC on the last Sunday of May. This year it was held for the twenty-sixth time, reported "Russia 24".
In 2012, the square in front of the Pentagon, the traditional venue for the start of the bike ride, assembled over 570,000 people, and every year the number of participants is growing.
