Middle East
The Sudan army has destroyed over 70 rebels of the Revolutionary Front, reports SUNA agency with reference to a representative of the armed forces, who added that army units were pursuing the rebels and continuing a large-scale operation to ensure security in the region.
It is reported the military managed to seize several rebel tanks.
In late April, groups of fighters of the Revolutionary Front, which includes "the Sudan People's Liberation Movement-North”, attacked the Sudanese state of North Kordofan. In neighboring South Kordofan fighting has also flared up again between rebels and the army, reports RIA Novosti.
