Marcelo: “Mourinho has helped me and I wish him happiness”

Marcelo gave a short, pitch-side interview with Canal + immediately after Real Madrid’s 3-3 draw at Real Sociedad. The left-back was asked about Neymar’s move to Barça, Mourinho’s departure and the insults aimed at him from the stands in San Sebastián.

Abuse from the stands: “It’s happened to me a few times. Some people just don’t know how to behave properly. But I am not going to get angry about it. Some fans come to the game to enjoy the football while others do not know how to behave”.

Mourinho’s exit: “We haven’t spoken about it. Mourinho is a great coach and he has helped me a lot during his time at Madrid. I wish him all the happiness in the world. We’ll see who comes in to take over from him and then we can start thinking about the future”.

Neymar: “I am delighted for him, it’s a huge leap for him and his career and I wish him all the best”.
