Mali to hold presidential elections on July 28th

The first round of the presidential elections will be held in Mali on July 28 throughout the country, as well as in diplomatic and consular offices of the republic located abroad, TASS reported.
An official decision on the election date was made on Monday by the government of the country. According to a decision by the authorities, the campaign will run from the 7 to the 26 of July. If it is needed a second round of voting will take place on August 11.
The presidential elections are an important step towards resolving the crisis in Mali.
It is expected that the next legitimate president will have the necessary authority to enter into a dialogue with all national political forces, including the Tuaregs who are demanding autonomy in the north.
