Rafa Benítez takes on Napoli

"Rafa Benítez is the new manager of Napoli. A man of great international experience. A leader", was the official announcement from Club president, Aurelio De Laurentiis, on the appointment of his team's new coach.

Rafa Benítez, who until recently occupied the hot seat at Chelsea where he won the Europa League, will return to Italian soil next season to coach the Naples side in the wake of a previous disastrous spell at Inter.

De Laurentiis said a few days ago that the new manager would be announced on the social networks. Following the departure of Walter Mazzarri, who is, in fact, joining Inter, Rafa Benítez arrives at the Naples outfit, taking his second shot at the Italian Serie A.

The Spanish coach's first challenge will be to hold on to the team's big star, Uruguayan Edinson Cavani, for a season which will see the Italian side competing in the Champions League.
