More than 520 dead due to heatwave in India

524 people have died in India due to a heat wave that is baking the country. All of the victims died of heat stroke.
The heat wave has not let up for more than two months.
On Monday the Indian capital saw temperatures of up to 42.6 degrees Celsius, two degrees above normal, with a minimum of 30.2 degrees, three degrees above normal.
In Churu city, located in the Thar Desert in the north-western state of Rajasthan, the maximum temperature reached 45.2 degrees and in Etavahe in the northern state of Uttar Pradesh 46.2 degrees.
