Monaco officially announces Carvalho’s signing

Portuguese international Ricardo Carvalho is officially a Monaco player for the 2013-14 season, according to the web site of the club from the Principality. Carvalho’s Real Madrid contract is up on 30 June leaving him a free agent for next year. “I'm very happy to join AS Monaco FC and to be part of the new adventure. This is a new challenge for me”, said the player.

Carvalho who has hardly played this year for Madrid joins the new project launched by Russian magnate Dmitry Rybolovlev. He has already signed Falcao, James Rodríguez and Joao Moutinho.
