US – world’s only developed nation without guaranteed paid leave

The United States is the world’s only developed nation that fails to guarantee workers any paid leave. This comes in the latest report by the Joint Centre for Political and Economic Studies non-governmental organization.
According to the report, 23% of Americans never use a paid leave. The average duration of the annual leave in the private sector of the economy makes up some 10 days. 49% of those in the low income brackets have a paid leave, while the figure for those in the high income brackets reaches 90%.
