Coalition partners held a meeting at Presidential Residence.
General News
The political parties representing the ruling coalition [Chairman of "Prosperous Armenia" party Gagik Tsarukyan and Chairman of Rule of Law Party Arthur Baghdasaryan] held an extended session at the Presidential Office on Monday.
As Edward Sharmazanov, a spokesperson for the ruling Republican Party of Armenia says, 'the coalition will hold such meetings more frequently as the [parliamentary] election is drawing near. I don’t think there is anything surprising about that.'
But there is no need to be an authoritative analyst to understand that as the elections draw nearer, more worsening will become inner-coalition relations. And just for this reason, President Serzh Sargsyan (who is the RPA leader) does not have a separate meeting with the leader of Prosperous Armenia party (PAP), Gagik Tsarukyan. Their all meetings take place in the presence of Security Council Secretary Arthur Baghdasaryan, in case of Tsarukyan attempts to do a step forward the direction of the opposition or the second president Robert Kocharyan, he will quickly appear in the situation of Arthur Baghdasaryan. In this case President Serzh Sargsyan can maximum appoint him instead of Baghdasaryan - in the position of the Security Council secretary.
