Hrayr Tovasyan does everything to keep 1,000 people unemployed

The Ministry of Justice is on the way to increase the penal institutions. The task is to leave from only 5 the existing 13 penitentiaries. In Armavir a new penitentiary for 1,200 inmates is constructed, and it is planned to build another one, then it becomes possible to achieve the desired result, optimizing the past: two penitentiaries will be in Yerevan, the rest- in Armavir, Goris and Lori.

Today, on one of the inmate the state spends 124,700 drams each month, annually it is approximately $ 3,000. In the U.S., an inmate annully gets 25-40 thousand dollars, in Estonia-4000-4900 euros.

This amount, however, is not being spent per prisoner, do not think that an inmate receives more amount than, for example, employees or retirees. This is the amount, from which the salary of employees of penitentiary is paid. On almost the same logic funding of schools is arranged, which is also a certain amount of money available on the number of students.

Parallel increase in the penitentiary a significant reduction of employees will also be observed. According to the Minister of Justice Hrayr Tovmasyan, penitentiary will no longer need the incumbent 2,500 employees and will be able to confine 1,000.

But what the penitentiary staff will do, whose work is known to be very specific, how they will integrate into society under the weight of acquired some psychological changes while working in the penitentiary, the Minister, of course, is not worried.
