Manchester City come calling for Jesús Navas
Sport
Manchester City have stepped up their plans to bring Jesús Navas to the Etihad stadium for the new season. Club representatives were in Seville last week to hold talks with Sevilla president Del Nido for the winger and it is believed that the Andalucian club could confirm the transfer within the next few days.
City already have a verbal agreement with Navas, who has accepted a four to five-year contract and an improvement to his current salary at the Sánchez Pizjuán. Pellegrini has requested Navas and Isco as reinforcements and although no transfer fee has been disclosed as of the moment, De Nido is holding out for a figure of around 30 million euros for the 27-year-old Spain international.
Sevilla must sell at least two of their star players to balance the books. Apart from Navas, striker Álvaro Negredo could also depart this summer with a number of clubs lining up to gain his signature including: Atlético, Everton, West Ham, Fiorentina, Inter Milan and Tottenham.
